Summer: 11 yr F/S Shepherd mix (continued)

Day 4:

Summer's diarrhea and vomiting diminished throughout the day. Her thrombocytopenia was much improved with a platelet count of 173,000. Amylase decreased to 972 and lipase decreased to 2476. Her treatment regimen remained the same and she received her 2nd HBOT late afternoon consisting of 20 minutes at 10 psi followed by 30 minutes at 14.7 psi.

Day 5:
Summer had no vomiting or diarrhea, she was given oral sucralfate and offered water and a small amount of canned i/d in the morning. She drank well but did not eat. Summer was discharged with oral famotidine, enrofl oxacin, sucralfate, and canned i/d.

Day 7:
Summer returned to RDVM for recheck. She was eating, drinking, and walking well at home. While still mildly lethargic, she had recovered well. At her owner's request she received her 3rd HBOT in the afternoon and went home.
